Our Promise to Families

We don't take field trips—we teach life through real-world experiences. Every mission is intentionally connected to academics, communication, executive functioning, vocational development, independent living, and community participation.

The How

Skills learning is the key to how!

How Learning is Customized for Every Student

  • At The Living School, no two students are given the same work—even when they are on the same adventure.

  • Each real-world experience is designed with multiple levels of learning, so every student can participate in the same activity while working at their own pace and ability.

For example, during a single field experience:

A younger student may work on letter recognition, tracing, or matching

Another student may practice basic math, reading, or simple writing

An older student may complete problem-solving, critical thinking, or real-world planning tasks

All students are engaged in the same theme—but with work that is personally tailored to their needs.
